DO-HO SUH

A number of years ago now - cant even hazard a guess - I saw an exhibition during the Sydney Festival at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) I was fortunate enough to see an instillation by an artist whom I have since discussed with friends, but never knew the artists name...until today. Do-Ho Suh.

Suh is a Korean artist whom creates large scale sculptures, predominantly, and my favourite out of fabric. I'm not sure what type of fabric, but I guess it is organza. The work I saw was an entire house interior stitched out of blue organza with incredible detail and scale. He had all the details down to light switches, taps, drain pipes, stove top knobs etc. It was epic, incredible and inspiring. Below are some images of his works. The third being from the exhibition I saw.
